Who Will Share My Story? Biblical Commentary on 2 Samuel 13 — Church Anew

Intercourse and the Christian Counselor

1 O give due to the Lord, for he’s good;
    his steadfast love endures eternally!

2 Let Israel say,
    “His steadfast love endures eternally.”

3 Let the home of Aaron say,
    “His steadfast love endures eternally.”

4 Let those that concern the Lord say,
    “His steadfast love endures eternally.”

5 Out of my misery I known as on the Lord;
    the Lord answered me and set me in a broad place.

6 With the Lord on my aspect I don’t concern.
    What can mortals do to me?

7 The Lord is on my aspect to assist me;
    I shall look in triumph on those that hate me.

8 It’s higher to take refuge within the Lord
    than to place confidence in mortals.

9 It’s higher to take refuge within the Lord
    than to place confidence in princes.

10 All nations surrounded me;
    within the title of the Lord I lower them off!

11 They surrounded me, surrounded me on each aspect;
    within the title of the Lord I lower them off!

12 They surrounded me like bees;
    they blazed like a hearth of thorns;
    within the title of the Lord I lower them off!

13 I used to be pushed exhausting, in order that I used to be falling,
    however the Lord helped me.

14 The Lord is my power and my may;
    he has turn into my salvation.

15 There are glad songs of victory within the tents of the righteous:
“The correct hand of the Lord does valiantly;

16    the appropriate hand of the Lord is exalted;
    the appropriate hand of the Lord does valiantly.”

17 I shall not die, however I shall dwell
    and recount the deeds of the Lord.

18 The Lord has punished me severely,
    however he didn’t give me over to demise.

19 Open to me the gates of righteousness,
    that I could enter by them
    and provides due to the Lord.

20 That is the gate of the Lord;
    the righteous shall enter by it.

21 I thanks that you’ve answered me
    and have turn into my salvation.

22 The stone that the builders rejected
    has turn into the chief cornerstone.

23 That is the Lord’s doing;
    it’s marvelous in our eyes.

24 That is the day that the Lord has made;
    allow us to rejoice and be glad in it.

25 Save us, we beseech you, O Lord!
    O Lord, we beseech you, give us success!

26 Blessed is the one who comes within the title of the Lord.
    We bless you from the home of the Lord.

27 The Lord is God,
    and he has given us gentle.
Bind the festal procession with branches,
    as much as the horns of the altar.

28 You’re my God, and I’ll give due to you;
    you’re my God; I’ll extol you.

29 O give due to the Lord, for he’s good,
    for his steadfast love endures eternally.
