The Basis of Knowledge | Worship Leaders College

“Concern of the Lord is the muse of knowledge. Data of the Holy One ends in common sense.”
— Proverbs 9:10 (NLT)

We stay in a tradition full of data. Data is obtainable at our fingertips. But with all this information, true knowledge stays uncommon. Why? As a result of knowledge doesn’t start with data—it begins with reverence.

The Beginning Level: Concern of the Lord

“Concern of the Lord” doesn’t imply being petrified of God. It means residing with holy awe, deep respect, and a recognition of His greatness, authority, and holiness. It’s acknowledging that God is God—and we aren’t. This humble posture is the basis of knowledge, in response to Proverbs.

After we concern the Lord:

  • We cease making an attempt to be clever in our personal eyes.
  • We start to hear extra fastidiously to His Phrase.
  • We stay with a wholesome consciousness of His justice, mercy, and energy.
  • We make higher choices—not simply based mostly on logic, however on everlasting reality.

Data of the Holy One

Knowledge isn’t just about avoiding silly choices; it’s about cultivating a relationship. Proverbs says, “Data of the Holy One ends in common sense.” In different phrases, as we develop in intimacy with God, our discernment sharpens. We start to see life from His perspective. We select persistence over impulse, grace over delight, goal over recognition.

You possibly can learn books, acquire levels, journey the world—however should you don’t know God, you’re lacking the supply of true knowledge.

Good Judgment in a Silly World

In a society that usually celebrates the silly and mocks the sacred, we desperately want women and men who stroll in knowledge. Church buildings, households, and communities are crying out for leaders who make choices rooted within the concern of the Lord and data of the Holy One.

Common sense isn’t nearly making the fitting name beneath strain; it’s about constructing a life on the fitting basis. And Proverbs tells us that basis is reverence for God.

How Do We Domesticate It?

  1. Day by day Time with God – Begin your day with prayer, reward and give up.
  2. Bible Meditation – Let God’s Phrase form your worldview.
  3. Obedient Dwelling – Knowledge grows after we do what God says, not simply after we hear it.
  4. Ask for It – James 1:5 says, “If any of you lacks knowledge, ask God… and it will likely be given.”

Closing Thought

The concern of the Lord isn’t a sense—it’s a life-style. After we honor God, pursue Him, and stroll humbly earlier than Him, we’ll discover that knowledge follows. And after we start to know the Holy One, we’ll start to stay with readability, goal, and common sense.

That’s a life value constructing.
