Someday between 31-36 AD.
It was a unprecedented mid-day in the life of a younger
man, a sworn enemy and persecutor of Christ and the toddler Christian Church referred to as “The Means”. This younger man was on his means to Damascus together with his companions for
arresting the Christians and committing them to jail. He had the authority of
the Chief Clergymen for the aim. This younger man was none however Saul of Tarsus, a Pharisee, effectively versed in
the Hebrew Previous Testomony
sacred Scriptures. However he made havoc on the toddler Church, getting into into each home and haling males
and girls committing them to jail.
As Saul and
his males have been
about to attain
the metropolis of Damascus, swiftly behold, a
shiny gentle from heaven, brighter than the solar surrounded Saul. Instantly, he fell to the floor
and heard a voice,
“Saul, Saul, why are you persecuting Me?” Saul was overtaken by helplessness and
panic and mentioned, “Who are you,
Lord?” Saul immediately obtained the reply,
“I am Jesus, whom you are persecuting. It is tough so that you can
kick towards the pricks”. In that
breathtaking second, Saul
noticed the risen
Saviour, and one thing
extraordinary occurred in his coronary heart. The outcome was wonderful! Saul surrendered
his coronary heart to the Lord
Jesus Christ and adopted His directions.
The risen Saviour mentioned to Saul, “I have appeared to you, for that reason, to make you a minister
and a witness each of the issues which you have seen and of
the issues which
I will but reveal to you… to open
their eyes, with a view to flip them from darkness to gentle, and from the energy of Devil to God, that they
might obtain forgiveness of sins and an inheritance amongst these who are sanctified by religion in Me (Acts 26:12-18),
that by the work of the Spirit, the eyes of the understanding of those that are
blinded by Devil are enlightened; by means of the preaching of the Gospel.
Saul’s encounter with Jesus Christ reworked his life altogether. He obtained forgiveness of his
sins and skilled the enjoyment of salvation by trusting within the expiative work of Christ
on the cross. Saul was no
longer a persecutor of the Church.
