For the worship sequence on the Ebook of Revelation, I needed to construct a Tree of Life. Within the final chapter of Revelation, it says, “On both sides of the river is the tree of life, which produces twelve crops of fruit, bearing its fruit every month. The tree’s leaves are for the therapeutic of the nations.” (Rev 22:2)
My concept was to construct an ominous trying black paper tree, however through the course of, a toddler requested me if she may assist. The Tree of Life took a unique course – yet one more whimsical, colourful, and playful. It wasn’t what I deliberate, however typically inviting the kid guides you on a unique path and it could be a missed alternative to not take it.
Because the tree was clearly extra colourful, I used flowers and leaves from previous artwork installations.
