Whereas David lived in an opulent, secure residence, God’s Spirit dwelt in a tent. David needed to construct God a home, however the Lord stated He would fairly construct up David’s home. Via him would come all of the kings and ultimately the King of the World. God’s Spirit not hovers over the mercy seat of the ark. As a substitute, He lives within the hearts of believers. We’re the temple that homes His Spirit, now.
